A little about Inimitable Art

I'm Ruth, the person behind Inimitable Art.

It all started with one moment, flying over the Bahamas. I was looking down at the ocean with no horizon and no sky in it — just colour and clouds, shifting and endless. I couldn't stop looking at it. That captured moment became Only Ocean. I had to share it.

Every piece is from a moment exactly as nature presented it — a fleeting change in light, colour or stillness. I don't look for them, I just slow down, look around and sometimes they catch my eye. They don't always translate through the lens, so some moments I keep for myself.

The Japanese have a concept called ichi-go ichi-e — loosely translated as 'one time, one meeting'. It describes treasuring a moment precisely because it can never happen again. That's what these are. Every one of them existed once, for seconds, and then it was gone.

Which means the collection will always evolve in ways I can't predict or plan. New moments will appear. Others will quietly make way for them.

They will always be real and exactly as nature presented them. No enhancements, no manipulation, no AI.

Whatever you find in them is yours.
